The Things You Can Not Have

...someone who seems just right for you. Not perfect, not a match made in heaven, but definitely seems right. He gets you, he sees right through your nonsense and still you are wonderful to him.

And yet you can't have him.

...the place where you are cherished and appreciated. Nothing fancy but they want you, you personally and would really like it if you can be there.

Alas. As I've learned over the years, you can't always have what you want.

...that desserts of fruits drenched in peanut sauce. The love of your life and then again, you can't.

Because you are too full. Ha.

...a friendship you'd love to start and cherish.

And yet, the two of you have to part ways. Teaches you to live in the moment and not to worry too much about rushing things.

...a dog who'd rush to you the moment you open the front door.

And where are you going to hide a German Shepherd or a Saint Bernard in your 3 x 4 m2 room?

The Loudest Sound of All

She sees him coming from across the room
And the breath was taken out of her
She tries to smile but finds out that she can't
He asks how she was and she says ,"I'm fine."

When she is desperately wishing with all her heart
that she hasn't come, hasn't seen him
That he hasn't seen her and come the way he did

She is waiting for another man
But all other men pale in comparison
to the sight of him coming towards her
She closes her eyes, trying to keep talking

She is desperately wishing with all her heart
that she hasn't come, hasn't seen him
But she has come hoping to see him

Hoping she can catch a glimpse of him, just a glimpse
But he has come and said Hello and talked
And she despairs, knowing the things she wants to say
Can't ever be said, can't ever be spoken

Banning Online P0rn0raphy

Again, a move by our dearest government that shows what ignorant people they are.

First of all, it does NOT address the problem. P0rn0graphy is all over the place; banning it is not the smartest move. And it is my personal opinion that the Government has no right to do this. We are not children.

Second, who can guarantee this move will stop people from accessing p0rn on the Net? If anything, I bet the hackers out there are revved to get their hands on those virtual bars, trying to tear them down.

Third, apparently the government do not remember their sayings well. The Indonesians have this saying, "Tak ada rotan, akar pun jadi." Which means that people will make do with the next best thing.

Camera- and video-phone are all over Indonesia, in the hands of teenagers by a large percentage. I personally believe that the curious and the depraved ones will use the gadget to create some Do-It-Yourself. God help us all.

This move is again just a show of power from the Parliament. Nothing good will come out of this.
